Tapestry Prayer Requests
July
2008
June was a month of waiting for Tapestry. Since most of us on the
Launch Team are somehow involved with the University of Wisconsin -
Stevens Point it became best for us to take a brake from our weekly
Launch Team meetings during the time in between Spring and Summer
classes. This means we haven't been meeting for 5 weeks. We start
meeting again July 6th. Of course, this time hasn't been wasted. We
have all been involved in listening to GOD and dreaming about new ways
that we could share the love of CHRIST. We've called thsi dreaming
"Project Mayhem" and some pretty interesting ideas have come about from
it. Hopefully some of these ideas will
We're about to start July and within the life of Tapestry that means
that the Launch Team starts meeting again and we nail down every detail
possible for our Launch. All the good that has happened within the past
month has happened
because of our great GOD and your prayers to
HIM on our behalf. Thank you for praying as diligently as you do.
This month I would ask that you pray for the following:
- PRAISE GOD that we have a place for our worship
services. Tapestry will be holding services at the Washington
Elementary School in Stevens Point.
- PRAISE GOD for the ideas that HE has sparked within
our community during the "in between" time we just went through.
- Please pray for the serious planning that will now
begin within the Launch Team meetings on Sundays.
- Please pray for two members of the Launch Team who
are away for the Summer doing ministry. Andrew is in Africa for the
Summer through Overland Missions and Casey is working with kids at a
Summer Camp. Please pray that GOD will do great things through both of
them.
- Please begin praying now for a successful launch of
Tapestry on
September 14th.
- Please pray that GOD would show us how we can serve
within the community.
- Please pray that GOD would bring a worship leader our
way. There seem to be some options opening up in regards to worship
but we're still not there yet.
- Please begin to pray for the Nicaraguan mission trip
that the Launch team is going to go on in August. Please pray that this
trip will help to focus Tapestry on missions as a part of who we are.
Our Launch Team will be in Nicaragua August 11th-18th.
- Please pray for continued conversations that lead an
opportunity to share the good news of JESUS CHRIST with individuals
within the community.
- Pam requests that you pray concerning:
- Continued opportunities to share faith with college
students and faculty and that I would recognize and take advantage of
them
- That we would be able to develop some deep
friendships in the community
- Please pray that we will continue to have all the
financial support needed to plant the church.
- Pray for me as I lead our associational Youth Camp
June 29th through July 4th.
- Please pray that I will make good decisions in buying
the equipment that we will need. Pray that I am able to find the best
values on solid, reliable equipment that will meet out needs for years
to come.
Please know that I greatly appreciate your prayers. I am honored to
have friends such as you. If you will let me know what needs you
have I
will gladly return the favor and pray for you. Now
may the LORD bless you and keep you. May the LORD make HIS face to
shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the LORD turn HIS face
toward you and give you peace.
