Tapestry Prayer Requests
May
2008
May will be the first month in which Tapestry does something outside of
our Launch Team Meetings. The Launch Team (which
now has 6 adults and 2 kids & 1 guest) is still meeting each Sunday
for supper, reading through the book
of Acts, prayer, and discussion concerning what we believe is GOD's
will in planting Tapestry, but in May we will do our first event within
the community. We thought that it would be good for the first thing we
do within the community to be prayer based. In the future we will do
things that are more outreach oriented but for the first thing we do
it's important that it be prayer based. The first thing you do always
sets the tone for what is to follow. We want the tone for Tapestry to
be prayer based. Therefore, we are doing a prayer labyrinth for the
community. May 8th we will be setting up stations within the University
of Wisconsin/Stevens Point University Center that will guide people in
spending time with GOD. We're all very excited about this.
Things are going to get more and more exciting over the coming months.
Woohoo!
All the good that has happened within the past month has happened
because of our great GOD and your prayers to
HIM on our behalf. Thank you for praying as diligently as you do.
This month I would ask that you pray for the following:
- Please be prayer for the prayer labyrinth that we
will be doing May 8th. Please pray that we will make contacts through
this. Also please pray for those that will participate within this
time of prayer strictly because it is not located at a church. Pray
that we
will be able to make contact with them in meaningful ways.
- Please pray for those that are on the Launch Team.
Pray that GOD will increase our passion for HIM, each other, and our
community. Please pray that we will find others that GOD is directing
to participate within this mission.
- Please begin praying now for a successful launch of
Tapestry on
September 14th.
- Please pray that GOD would show us how we can serve
within the community.
- Please pray that GOD would bring a worship leader our
way. We need a worship leader!
- Please pray concerning a space for us to rent for our
worship services. I am presently talking with several different
locations. We need to find the best place. This means the place that
best fits who we are, is closest to where we need to be, provides the
least number of distractions, possibly provides some storage space, and
does all this with the least cost - I'm not asking for much, am I? ;)
- Please pray for several key conversations that I am
going to be having over the next two weeks with individuals in our
community that are hurting. Pray that GOD will reveal HIS peace in
those conversations and lead people to HIM.
- Please begin to pray for the Nicaraguan mission trip
that the Launch team is going to go on in August. Please pray that this
trip will help to focus Tapestry on missions as a part of who we are.
- Please pray for continued conversations that lead an
opportunity to share the good news of JESUS CHRIST with individuals
within the community.
- Pam requests that you pray concerning:
- Continued opportunities to share faith with college
students and faculty and that I would recognize and take advantage of
them
- That we would be able to develop some deep
friendships in the community
- Please pray that we will continue to have all the
financial support needed to plant the church.
Please know that I greatly appreciate your prayers. I am honored to
have friends such as you. If you will let me know what needs you
have I
will gladly return the favor and pray for you. Now
may the LORD bless you and keep you. May the LORD make HIS face to
shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the LORD turn HIS face
toward you and give you peace.
