This whole thing has started out of my wife and I (Robert) praying (which can be a dangerous thing). We both became convinced that GOD was leading us to move to the Stevens Point Wisconsin area to find a group of people who are interested in starting a new church. After a great deal of prayer the Minnesota/Wisconsin Baptist Convention agreed with us and they have sponsored us to start a church in the Stevens Point/Plover area.

After a few months of meeting and talking with people from the Point are we started meeting every Sunday evening with a group of people who believe it is GOD’s desire to plant another church that will connect with people who are not presently clicking with another church in the area. We starting meeting every Sunday evening to eat a meal together, read through the Acts of the Apostles, pray together, and dream about what the church can be. This is how GOD is growing Tapestry.

On September 14, 2008 Tapestry started holding public worship gatherings.
